Junior Phoebe Pohl led the way for the Bates women's cross country team, taking eighth place out of 145 runners Saturday at the NESCAC Championships.

Pohl (Wayland, Mass.) crossed the finish line of the 6K race held at the UMass Cross Country Course in 22:38.7. After finishing in 15th place last season, one spot out of All-NESCAC honors, Pohl comfortably turned in a Second Team All-NESCAC performance this year.
