Led by first-year Arthur Jenkins, the Bates men's golf team shined at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championship, held Saturday and Sunday at The Captains Golf Course on Cape Cod.

The Bobcats shot 306 as a team both days, good for fourth place out of 20 schools. It's their best showing ever at the NEIGA Championship.

Jenkins (Shreveport, La.) paced Bates with a two-over par 74 on Saturday. Then he shot a 78 on Sunday, finishing tied for eighth place out of 102 competitors.
