Senior captain Colby Stakun-Pickering broke the school record in the indoor 200-meter dash, highlighting the Valentine Invitational Saturday for the Bates men's track and field team.
Stakun-Pickering (Wellesley, Mass.) raced to the finish in 22.31 seconds, breaking the previous program-best mark of 22.39, set by Erik Zwick '01 in 2001.
Stakun-Pickering also teamed with senior Robby Griffin (Norwell, Mass.), first-year Evan Migdole (Westbrook, Conn.), and senior Peter Ackley (New Albany, Ohio) in the 4x400 relay, placing second in their section in 3:22.98.
