Guinee turned in a monster performance in the Al Nicholson Shot Put at the Maine State Meet, taking third behind teammates Liam Byrne and Jacob Goff. Guinee recorded a personal best distance of 46-7.5 (14.21m) on his final toss of the day, prompting an exuberant roar from the crowd.

Guinee also scored points for the Bobcats with a fourth-place finish in the Peter Doran Weight Throw, as the Bates men won the state championship for the fourth year in a row.
