Spiro went undefeated at the No. 1 position in a 3-0 home weekend for the Bobcats.
He started the week with an epic 3-2 (11-4, 4-11, 11-7, 9-11, 11-9) win on Friday over Navy's Millen Randell as the Bobcats defeated the Midshipmen 6-3.
Spiro followed that up with a 3-0 (11-6, 11-6, 11-5) victory on Saturday over Connecticut College's Samuel Lovejoy in an 8-1 win for Bates. Then he concluded the weekend with a 3-1 (11-5, 5-11, 11-8, 11-5) victory over Franklin & Marshall's Petr Nohel in a 7-2 win for Bates.
The Bobcats are off to a 4-1 start and visit rival Bowdoin this Wednesday at 6pm.
