Richardson earned All-American honors for the second consecutive season as the senior paced the Bates women's cross country team to a 14th-place finish out of 32 teams at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships, held Saturday at Forest Akers East Golf Course on the campus of Michigan State University.
A year after finishing 33rd overall, Richardson (Auburn, Maine) placed 28th out of 293 individuals in the race, earning a second career All-American honor for her top-40 finish. Richardson, Bates' leader in every race of her three-season career, finished the 6-kilometer course in 22:36.4.
Richardson is the first two-time All-American in Bates women's cross country history.
