Hall earned All-NESCAC honors in the 400-yard IM, highlighting a versatile performance at the NESCAC Championships. He also helped Bates place fourth in the 800 free relay, fourth in the 400 medley relay and fourth in the 200 medley relay. Individually, Hall placed seventh in the 200-yard breaststroke and ninth in the 200 IM.
"Hall had one of the most versatile and amazing weekends in my Bates career," head coach Peter Casares said. "He went national cuts and top 8 swims in the IM and breast. He swam our fastest free split on our 8 free relay. He was our butterfly on two national level medley relays."
"There was nothing he couldn’t do. And this after a summer seeing back specialtist and having surgery in October to help him deal with the pain. We went to him over and over again and he smiled and took it on. He cherished every swim and made his teammates believe anything was possible."
After finishing fifth in four of the previous five years, the Bates men's swimming and diving team took a program-best fourth place to conclude the four-day NESCAC Men's Championships Sunday at Williams College.
The Bobcats finished with 959 points over the course of the meet, outscoring rival Colby (931.5) by 27.5. Williams won the championship with 1,987.5 points, with Tufts (1,797.5) and Amherst (1,386.5) filling out the top three.
