The Bates men's rowing varsity eight defeated five other boats to win the grand final Saturday afternoon at the 2015 New England Rowing Championships Saturday afternoon on Lake Quinsigamond. This was the first MV8 grand final victory in the Bates men's rowing history.
Bates' three boats combined for an aggregate 15-8 record at the regatta. The MV8 advanced to the grand final by winning the first heat in a time of 6:10.564, edging out second-place Trinity College (6:12.384) by two seconds. In the grand final, the Bobcats finished in a time of 6:14.338, beating second-place Boston College (6:17.008) by nearly three seconds.
