Senior baseball captain Christian Beal went 5-9 against Colby over the weekend at the plate. He scored a run, drove in two runs, and smacked a pair of doubles as well to finish the season with a .375 batting average. 

Beal finishes his Bates career with a .354 batting average (75-212), earning first team All-NESCAC honors in 2019, the last time Bates played conference games. He will play at NCAA Division I program Richmond next season.
