First-year middle blocker Chandler McGrath notched 30 kills over the weekend in a win against Plymouth St. and a loss to Eastern Conn. St. to gain Bobcat of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 21-27.

The Seal Beach, Calif., native led the Bobcats with 14 kills with one error on 26 swings for a .500 hitting percentage in the team’s 3-1 win against PSU. She helped Bates hit .356 as a team in the match including a .652 hitting percentage in the decisive fourth set. She notched a match-high 16 kills on .275 hitting in the team’s 3-1 loss to ECSU.

On the season, the Marymount High School product paces the Bobcats in total kills (234), kills per set (2.32), hitting percentage (.239), block solos (24), block assists (37), total blocks (61), and blocks per set (0.60).

McGrath and the Bobcats conclude the regular season this weekend with matches at Hamilton (Friday, 8 p.m.) and at Middlebury (Saturday, 3 p.m.).
