Sophomore Jack Allard recorded seven goals, three assists, and six ground balls as Bates men’s lacrosse went 1-1 last week, earning Bobcat of the Week honors for the week of March 17-23.
The Ridgewood, N.J., native totaled a game-high three goals to go with an assist and two ground balls in the team’s 9-7 loss on Saturday to Williams. His two second-quarter goals, including a behind-the-back tally, kept Bates within 6-5 at the half, and he helped fuel Bates’ late comeback registering a goal and an assist in the final five minutes.
Earlier in the week, Allard posted four goals, two assists, four ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the Bobcats’ 27-0 victory over Husson on Tuesday.
A graduate of Ridgewood High School, Allard leads the team this season in goals (15), points (19), and ground balls (19).
Allard and the Bobcats return to action with a home game against Keene State on Wednesday at 5 p.m. before traveling to Hamilton on Saturday for their next NESCAC contest.
