Chandler McGrath earns Female Bobcat of the Week honors with 18 kills as the Bates volleyball team outlasted Hamilton 3-2 (23-25, 25-14, 29-27, 21-25, 15-11) in a New England Small College Athletic Conference match Friday night in Alumni Gymnasium.

McGrath added 12 digs and pounded the final two points of the deciding fifth set into the floor as Bates won for the first time in its past six NESCAC matches. The Bobcats have won three NESCAC matches for the first year since 2004.

The win clinches a spot for Bates in the NESCAC Tournament.
