Junior and two-time All-American Ahmed Hatata (Alexandria, Egypt) remains undefeated on the season after a 3-0 weekend at the NESCAC Championships.

Playing at his usual No. 2 position, Hatata helped Bates advance to the NESCAC Championships Final for the first time in program history. 

On Saturday he defeated Wesleyan's Raheem Logan 3-0 (11-2, 11-2, 11-2) in the quarterfinals. He followed that up with a 3-0 (11-3, 13-11, 11-3) win over Middlebury's David Cromwell in the semifinals.

In the finals against No. 1 Trinity, Hatata beat Juan Vargas 11-6 in the first game. They were tied at eight in the second set before Vargas had to retire due to injury.
