On Friday at the NESCAC Championships, Melissa Paione was part of Bates' B relay team which shattered the team record in the 400 medley relay with an NCAA B-cut time of 3:48.68. Paione's split time in the 100-yard breaststroke, was a blistering team record of 1:03.67. 

On Saturday, Paione began the second night session of the meet by helping Bates place third in the 200 medley relay championship final in 1:44.67, good for All-NESCAC honors (top three). The quartet's NCAA B-cut time took 1.22 seconds off of the former team record of 1:45.89 set a year ago, with a team that also featured Paione.

Paione broke her own team record in the 100 breast and placed third in the championship final in 1:04.41, earning the first individual All-NESCAC honor of her career. Her NCAA B-cut time beat the team record she set a year ago by 1.49 seconds. 

On Sunday, Paione broke Kara Leasure's 2012 team record in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing the championship final in 2:21.01 for sixth place.
