Bates junior midfielder Sam Francis (Newburyport, Mass.) helped Bates control possession in a 2-0 week, winning 18 of 25 faceoffs with a game-high 10 ground balls in a 14-13 victory over Keene State on Wednesday and winning 16 of 23 with a game-high six ground balls in an 11-8 win over Williams on Saturday, the Bobcats' first victory over the Ephs since 2006.
