First-year Janika Ho (Los Angeles, Calif.) had an outstanding Maine State Meet over the weekend.

She led a 1-2-3 Bates sweep in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:07.12. 

Ho also won the 100 butterfly in 56.13 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 58.69 seconds, for three individual state titles. She also placed second in the 200 breast (2:25.72).

The Bates women also claimed first place in all three relay races. Bates won the 200 medley relay in 1:48.43, the 400 freestyle relay in 3:34.41 and the 200 free relay in 1:37.67 with Ho helping them win all three races. 

The women's team won the Maine State Championship by a margin of 103 points over runner-up Maine, 976.5 to 873, followed by Bowdoin (792.5) and Colby (460).
