The Bates women's track and field team won the Maine State Women's Indoor Championship for the fourth consecutive year Friday night at the University of Southern Maine, winning seven events and breaking three meet records in the process.

Senior captain Jessica Wilson (Cumberland, Maine) won the mile in 4:59.33, breaking the state meet record set a year ago by Bowdoin's Sarah Kelley. Wilson entered the weekend ranked 10th in Division III based on her previous top time of 5:05.39 from Jan. 14. After this weekend's performance, Wilson is 4th in Division III and 2nd on Bates' all-time performance list. 

Bates scored 215.5 points, 60 more than runner-up Southern Maine (155.5). Bowdoin (147.5) was third, followed by Colby (139) Husson (47.5) and St. Joseph's (9).
