First-year Jenna Berens (Durham, Conn.) totaled eight points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots, all season-highs, in the Bates women's basketball team's road non-conference game at the University of Southern Maine.

After only scoring 19 points in the first half, the Bobcats scored 19 points in the third quarter alone against the Huskies. Berens was dominant on defense, blocking five shots in seven minutes and scoring four points.

Bates is 2-3 on the season and hosts Colby in non-conference action Tuesday night at 7pm.
