Senior Kody Greenhalgh's steal and layup in the final four seconds sealed a 71-68 win for the men's basketball team at Southern Maine. Greenhalgh finished the game with 16 points on 6-for-11 shooting, with six assists, four rebounds, and four steals.

The Bobcats recorded the program's most steals against an NCAA Division III opponent since 2004 with 16 in the victory over the Huskies.

Bates is 2-1 on the young season entering a week where the Bobcats visit Johnson & Wales (RI) on Monday and Bowdoin on Thursday before hosting Saint Joseph's on Saturday in non-conference action.
