Sophomore Kaelyn Woods placed eighth out 80 skiers in the women's 10-kilometer freestyle race at the St. Michael's Carnival. 

Woods (New Gloucester, Maine) turned in a career-best performance on Sunday, racing to the finish in 30:04.1 to earn 33 carnival points and 32 NCAA points.

She also paced the women's Nordic team on Saturday, earning 22 carnival points and 11 NCAA points for her 22nd place finish in the 5K Classical Technique race among 86 skiers with a time of 14:20.49.
