First-year outfielder Caroline Bass (Newton, Mass.) established Bates’ single-season records for runs (35) and hits (50) in a 4-1 week for the Bobcats. Bass batted 10-for-19 (.526) for the week with six runs scored and six stolen bases on six attempts.

She leads Bates with a .442 batting average, a .492 on-base percentage, a .487 slugging percentage and 23 stolen bases. Bates (20-13) has reached the 20-win plateau for the first time in program history.
