Sophomore So Kim scored a pair of goals and the Bates women's soccer team rallied back from an early Babson goal to defeat the Beavers 3-1 Sunday afternoon on Russell Street Field.

Babson struck first in the contest when Emma Dineen intercepted a pass about 30 yards from the goal. She wasted no time firing a shot that got past the diving Bates keeper to put the Beavers up 1-0 in just the third minute of action. 

But the Bobcats became the first team this year to score against the Beavers in the first half thanks to Kim (Thornhill, Ontario) and company. Senior Olivia Amdur (Chicago, Ill.) delivered a cross that deflected off sophomore Nellie Breen (Pasadena, Calif.) and Kim chased it down, sliding to score the equalizer. 

In the 82nd minute, the Bobcats scored perhaps their most impressive goal of the match when Amdur got the ball on the goal line and crossed it to the far post where Kim headed it home for her second tally of the afternoon, extending the Bates lead to 3-1.
