Tia Day is entering her fourth year at Bates College as the Coordinator of Athletics Marketing and Promotions, where she oversees the Bates Athletics social media.
A 2022 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, Tia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics with a minor in Coaching. During her time at UMF, she was a member of the Beavers women’s basketball team.
Tia is an active member of College Sports Communicators (CSC), serving on the Young Professionals Committee and its Social Media Subcommittee, as well as acting as a coordinator for the Creative & Digital Design Contest. In 2024, she was selected for the CSC Inclusion Fellowship, a year-long program focused on championing inclusive culture in college sports.
Her involvement in the industry also includes serving on the Women Leaders Awards Committee, the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant Selection Committee, and representing Region 3 on the D3SIDA Board.
In 2024, Tia was chosen as one of 30 participants in the inaugural Division III Athletic Communicators Emerging Elite Program. In 2023, she was one of only six recipients nationwide to receive the NCAA Inclusion/CSC Convention Grant, and also attended the NESCAC Future Leaders Forum.
A Mainer and 2018 graduate of Monmouth Academy, Tia enjoys cheering on New England’s professional sports teams, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with her dog.
