A 2017 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington, Logan Nichols was hired by Bates as the Coordinator of Athletic Events and Intramurals in 2021.
Nichols is in charge of planning and managing events and personnel for Bates athletics both ahead of time and on game day. He also is in charge of managing the intramural program at Bates.
He comes to Bates from Prime 360, where he worked as a personal trainer for strength, conditioning and personal well-being. From 2019-21, Nichols was a graduate assistant men's basketball coach at Castleton University, where he earned a Master's Degree in Athletic Leadership.
Nichols played four years of basketball at UMF and got started in athletics by working at Gould Academy from 2017-19, where he worked as a college counselor, while also coaching basketball.
Prior to graduating from UMF, Nichols graduated from Poland Regional High School. He was born and raised in Minot, Maine.
Nichols is passionate about fitness and personal well-being. During winter months he enjoys watching and playing basketball. In the summers Nichols enjoys hiking, white water rafting and golfing.
