What does leadership mean to you?
Leadership means inconveniencing yourself for the betterment of your team and showing good behavior by example. Viewing track and XC as team sports.

What experience—big or small—has made a surprising impact on you?
Two come to mind... Running trails in Colorado showed me that there is so much nuance to our sport. It was so rejuvenating to be a newbie again. The other being my teammate, Aaron, who would run every track workout with me and “block the wind.” His sacrifice for our team and myself made me fall so much more in love with running and view it as a team sport through and through.

What’s a value or principle you try to live by?
Go into every experience like it was inevitable that you would be there. It instills so much confidence in me!

What’s something about you that might surprise people?
I am an avid bird watcher!
