Upon graduation in 2026, Tom ranked in the top 10 all-time at Bates in these events:

50-yard breaststroke, 3rd (25.39).

100-yard breaststroke, 5th (55.90).

200-yard medley relay, 6th (1:28.50). Top split of 24.54 seconds in the 50-breast. (3rd)

200-yard breaststroke, 8th (2:04.80).

200-yard freestyle relay, 9th (1:22.13). Top split of 20.70 seconds. (19th)

Career: One of 96 Senior Scholar Award-winners, Bobcats who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. 

2025-26: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Helped the Bates 'B' 200-yard freestyle relay team record the second-fastest time of all the 'B' teams in the conference, racing to the finish in 1:22.13 at the NESCAC Championship (Feb. 20).... Placed third in the consolation final of the 50-yard breaststroke in 25.74 seconds after swimming a morning prelims time of 25.58 seconds at the NESCAC Championship (Feb. 20).... Helped Bates place fourth among the 'B' teams in the 400-yard medley relay, racing to the finish in 3:21.34 at the NESCAC Championship (Feb. 20).... Helped Bates take the top spot in the men's 200-yard breaststroke relay in 1:40.49 on Senior Day against Maine Maritime Academy (Jan. 30).... Placed third in 26.36 seconds as part of a 1-2-3 Bates finish in the 50-yard breaststroke in a dual meet against Tufts (Jan. 17).

2024-25: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Placed sixth in the preconsolation final of the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:05.49 at the NESCAC Championships (Feb. 23).... Took fifth in the consolation final of the 100-yard breaststroke in 55.90 seconds at the NESCAC Championships (Feb. 22).... Won the consolation final of the 50-yard breaststroke in 25.39 seconds at the NESCAC Championships (Feb. 21).

2023-24: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Qualified for the championship final of the 50-yard breaststroke at the NESCAC Championships, taking eighth in 25.66 seconds after recording a prelims time of 25.45 seconds (Feb. 23).

2022-23: Placed 11th in the 50-yard breaststroke in 25.87 seconds at the NESCAC Championships, scoring 16 points for the Bobcats.... Placed third in the 50-yard breaststroke in 27.02 seconds in a dual meet with Tufts (Jan. 20).... Finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a dual meet sweep of Middlebury (Jan. 8).... Finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 58.24 at the Maine State Meet (Dec. 3).

Personal: 2022 graduate of Stuart Hall High School (Calif.) where he competed in swimming and cross country ... International Baccalaureate Scholarship.
