Entering the 2026-27 season, Tovey ranks in the top 10 all-time at Bates in these events:

200-yard butterfly, 8th (2:09.74).

2025-26: Helped the 800-yard freestyle "B" relay team race to the finish in 7:50.54, good for 18th place out of 22 teams and 12 points, beating their seed time by eight seconds at the NESCAC Women's Championship (Feb. 12).... Helped Bates win the women's 200-yard butterfly relay in 1:48.45 as Bates grabbed the top two spots in the race on Senior Day against University of New England and Maine Maritime Academy (Jan. 30).... Led a 1-2 Bates finish in the 200-yard freestyle with her winning time of 2:01.02 in a dual meet sweep of Wheaton (Nov. 15).

Personal: 2025 graduate of Sevenoaks School (UK) where she competed in swimming, sailing, and netball ... captain for both school and club teams during senior year.

What does leadership mean to you?
Encouraging and supporting every other teammate to become the best athletes they can be, as well as setting an example of resilience and determination.

What’s a failure or setback that taught you something valuable?
Having plantar fasciitis in my feet for over a year has taught me that resilience and hard work pays off, and has further proven my enjoyment of my sport.
