2017-18: Senior Scholar Award recipient.... Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for ranking among the top 50 athletes in Division III in the steeplechase and compiling a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30.

2016-17:

Indoor Highlights: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Placed third in the mile (4:24.95) and helped Bates win the 4x800 relay as the Bobcats won the Maine State Men's Indoor Championship.... Led four Bobcats in the mile with his time of 4:20.06 at Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational.... Helped Bates place eighth in the distance medley relay race at New England Division III Men's Indoor Championships.

Outdoor Highlights: NESCAC Spring All-Academic selection.... Finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:51.56) in the Bobcats' home meet with MIT, Tufts and RPI.... Placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:38.89) at the UNH Wildcat Invitational.... Placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:43.57) at the Maine State Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.... Placed sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:36.78) at the NESCAC Championships.... Took fifth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a career-best time of 9:28.02 at the New England Division III Outdoor Championships -- 6.82 seconds better than his previous PR of 9:34.84.... Tonelli moves from 10th place on Bates' all-time performance list into seventh.
