What is something you've changed your mind about in the last few years?
Something I have changed my mind about in the last few years is what it means to be independent. I used to think being independent meant figuring everything out on my own, but now I realize the importance of asking for help and advice from coaches, teachers, and teammates. I have learned that being open to feedback helps me develop and improve much faster.

What is a challenge you're glad you faced?
A challenge I’m glad I faced was learning how to balance life as a student-athlete. Balancing tennis, academics, fitness, and my social life forced me to become more organized, manage my time better, and stay disciplined even when I was busy. This experience will help me a lot as a college student-athlete.

What is something you're currently working to improve about yourself?
I’m currently working on becoming more consistent with my daily habits. Whether it’s training, studying, or taking care of responsibilities, I want to organize my schedule better and stay disciplined even on days when I’m not as motivated.

What is a quality you value most in a teammate?
The quality I value most in a teammate is someone who brings positive competitiveness. I like a teammate who pushes the people around them to improve, while also keeping team morale up through losses and wins.

What is something about you that people often don't expect?
Something about me that people might not expect is that I have lived in a few very different places, from Colorado to Chile to Florida, while growing up with both Chilean and Swedish influences. I am also bilingual in Spanish and English, which has helped me connect with different kinds of people and adapt to new environments.
