Biography

Personal: 2025 graduate of Holderness School (N.H.) where she competed in lacrosse, soccer, basketball, and Eastern alpine skiing ... graduated with honors.

What does leadership mean to you?
To me, leadership means inspiring and guiding my fellow teammates towards a shared goal. It also means putting down the teams needs ahead of your own.

What experience—big or small—has made a surprising impact on you?
Outback at Holderness School in the middle of my junior year. This was an 11-day winter backpacking trip in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, three of those nights being completely by myself. This made me realize how much I appreciate the warmth and comfort of being around the people you love, and that should never be taken for granted.

What’s a failure or setback that taught you something valuable?
Going back to Outback, because I was just telling this story to my family, I was found with 19 inches of thick wet snow on the first morning of my three- night solo. I left all of my belongings outside, which meant I spent all day digging everything out one by one and rebuilding my shelter. This taught me the importance of always thinking clearly before making any decisions. I went to bed because I was too tired to put away all my things, which was the lazy way out, which I will now always avoid.

What’s a value or principle you try to live by? Always putting yourself in someone else’s shoes, because you never know what people around you are going through beneath the surface.

What’s something about you that might surprise people?
I love playing the guitar and it is something that I do during a ton of my free time.
