2006: Started all 8 games at defensive tackle,tallying 24 tackles on the season...his 4.5 tackles for loss and 3sacks were good enough for 6th and 3rd on the team,respectively....Scooped up a fumble forced by Terence Ryan againstColby on Oct. 28th and scampered into the endzone, scoring his 5thcareer touchdown and 1st on the defensive side of theball. 

2005: Bates' top two-way threat had twoseven-tackle games (against Trinity and Tufts), and had careerhighs carrying the ball against Williams on Oct. 8, with 35 rushesfor 110 yards and one touchdown. ... Missed nearly half the seasonwith a leg injury. ... Totaled 190 yards rushing on 57 carries.

2004: Led the team in sacks and tacklesfor loss...averaged 3.6 yards per carry...scored threetouchdowns.



2003: Played in all eight games as a rookie… spent the majority of the season as a backup defensiveend, making seven tackles … played running back in two gamesfor the Bobcats, averaging 5.6 yards per carry to total 145 yardson 26 carries … had 119 yards on 19 carries, including acareer-long 39-yard run in a loss to Hamilton.
