Career: One of 92 Senior Scholar Award-winners, who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better. 

2022: Team captain.... NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.

2021: United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic selection.... NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.

2020: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic selection.... Placed 29th in the giant slalom at the NCAA Skiing Championships.... One of 17 men from the Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) circuit selected to compete at the NCAA Championships.... Ranked 19th in the giant slalom and 25th in the slalom on the EISA circuit.... His best carnival finishes in the giant slalom were finishing ninth at the Bates Carnival and 14th at the Williams Carnival.... In the slalom, van Vuuren's best performances were getting 13th place at Colby and 16th place at the UVM Carnival.

2019: United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association All-Academic selection....  Finished the season ranked 38th in the EISA in the slalom and 39th in the giant slalom.... Made his collegiate carnival debut a strong one, finishing a season-best 16th in the slalom at the St. Lawrence Carnival.... Finished 35th in the giant slalom at the UNH Carnival.... Finished 33rd in the slalom at the UNH Carnival.... Finished a season-best 15th in the giant slalom at the UVM Carnival.... Took 25th in the slalom at the UVM Carnival.... Placed 37th in the giant slalom at the Middlebury Carnival.... Finished 30th in the giant slalom at the Bates Carnival.... Placed 29th in the slalom at the Bates Carnival.
