Biography
Currently, Wong-Smith ranks in the top 20 all-time at Bates in these events:
100-yard butterfly, T-13th (59.15). Top Relay Split of 58.96 (9th).
200-yard butterfly, 15th (2:13.89).
50-yard butterfly, 16th (26.99). Top Relay Split of 26.64 (13th).
Career: One of 92 Senior Scholar Award-winners, who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
2021-22: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Named to the NESCAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team.
2020-21: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.
2019-20: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Finished fourth in the 100 butterfly (59.15), fourth in the 200 butterfly (2:14.32) and eighth in the 50 butterfly (27.17) at the Maine State Meet.... Won the 100 butterfly (1:01.84) against Trinity.... Helped Bates win the 200-yard medley relay in 1:49.90 against Wesleyan.
2018-19: Took third place in the 50-yard butterfly (28.31, with a prelim time of 28.19) at the WPI Invitational.
Major: Psychology and Chinese.
Concentration: The Human Body.
Bates Activities: Outing Club.
High School: Peer Support, Admissions Tour Guide, Member of the Honor Education Council, Member of the Asian Culture Club.
