Upon graduation, Townend ranked in the top 10 all-time at Bates in these events:
400-yard IM, 8th, (4:36.62).
Career: One of 92 Senior Scholar Award-winners, who have participated in varsity sports for four years and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or better.
2023-24: Named to the College Sports Communicators Swimming & Diving Academic All-District® Team.... NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection....Helped the "B" 800-yard freestyle relay team score points for Bates with a 18th-place showing (7:52.16) at the NESCAC Championships.... Also scored a point for Bates at NESCACs by taking 24th in the 400-yard IM in a season-best time of 4:46.49 (Feb. 15-18).
2022-23: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Finished 24th in the 400-yard IM in 4:45.45, earning a point for the Bobcats at the NESCAC Championships.
2021-22: NESCAC Winter All-Academic selection.... Won the 400 yard IM in 4:41.59 in a dual meet sweep of Middlebury (Jan. 9).
2020-21: No season due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Minor: Digital and Computational Studies
Personal: 2020 graduate of Garnet Valley High School (Pa.) where she competed in swimming & diving, cross country, and track & field ... Dean's List ... secretary of Women in Economics.
