A Bobcat's Journey: Preston Haugh '21

2020-21: Team captain.... Named to the NESCAC Spring All-Sportsmanship Team.... Eagled the 18th hole and finished tied for second among 19 men's golfers at the Bobcat Invitational.... Turned in perhaps the finest performance of his career at NESCAC Event #2 with an even par 72, the lowest round of the day among 43 golfers.

2019: Fired a second-day score of 80 to finish in a tie with senior captain Andrew Garcia-Bou for the team lead as the Bates men's golf team finished 13th out of 22 teams in the 85th annual New England Intercollegiate Golf Championship.... Teamed with Garcia-Bou to shoot a 72 at the Colby Classic.... Tied for 36th place at 157 after shooting a 75 on Sunday at the NESCAC Fall Qualifier.... Saw a significant improvement from Saturday to Sunday, shooting an 84 on Saturday and following it up with a 79 to finish in 12th place, just two strokes back of a top-10 finish, at the Bobcat Invitational.... Finished in a tie for 26th place at 161 with an 81 on Sunday at the Bowdoin Invitational.

2018: Tied with three others for 20th place out of 61 players to lead the Bates men's golf team to ninth place out of 12 teams at the conclusion of the two-day Bowdoin Invitational.... Tied for 19th place with first-year teammate Jack Howard at 153, with Haugh shooting a 74 on Sunday at the Maine State Championships.... Shot a 9-over-par 79 to lead the Bates men's golf team to eighth place out of 10 teams at the UMF Invitational, with Haugh placing 15th among 49 individuals.... Finished tied for 40th with a two-day total of 164 at the NESCAC Fall Qualifier.... Shot an 85 to help Bates win its fourth CBB tournament in the last five years.... Teamed with junior captain Andrew Garcia-Bou to shot a 76 at the Colby Classic.

2017: Tied for 32nd place in a field of 39 by shooting a 90 at the UMF Invitational.... Came in third on the team and 32nd overall with a 96 at the Mariner Invitational.
