HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates men's lacrosse junior midfielder
Connor Hartman is a second team All-NESCAC selection, as announced Thursday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
In 16 games, Hartman (Hingham, Mass.) scored 30 goals and dished out 11 assists while often being the focus of the opposing team's defense. His 41 points ranked second on the team and Hartman also recorded 24 ground balls on the season.
This is the first All-NESCAC honor of Hartman's career. Some of his top performances included: four goals, one assist, and four ground balls in a 12-9 win over Franklin & Marshall, three goals and a ground ball in an 18-4 win over Emerson, two goals and two assists in a 14-8 win over Hamilton, three goals, one assist, and three ground balls in an 11-10 win over Williams, and two goals and two assists against Wesleyan.
Hartman is the first Bates midfielder to earn All-NESCAC honors since
Curtis Knapton '20 in 2019. He is also the first Bates midfielder to score 30 or more goals in a season since
Kyle Weber '17 in 2017.
The Bobcats finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 9-7 and a 4-6 mark in NESCAC play. Their nine wins this year marked a big step forward for the program as it's more than they'd tallied in the previous five seasons combined, two of which were abbreviated due to COVID-19. Bates men's lacrosse also qualified for the NESCAC tournament for the first time since 2019.
