HADLEY, Mass. -- 106 student-athletes from Bates College's varsity fall teams have received NESCAC All-Academic honors, announced Wednesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
A total of 1,158 student-athletes have been named to the Fall All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution.
Elsa Copeland (Field Hockey),
Haley Dwight (Field Hockey-NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year),
Lane Foushée (Men's Soccer),
Ryan Lynskey (Football),
Ryan Rozich (Football),
Hewitt Stevenson (Men's Soccer), and
Leah White (Women's XC) also collected All-NESCAC honors in their respective sport this season.
Samantha Bunar (Women's Soccer),
Lucy Norris (Field Hockey), and
Lucy Paynter (Women's XC) earned both All-Academic and All-Sportsmanship accolades this fall.
Founded in 1971, the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) consists of 11 liberal arts colleges and has consistently reflected its commitment to the values of athletics and academic achievement. The member colleges of the conference are Amherst College, Bates College, Bowdoin College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Hamilton College, Middlebury College, Trinity College, Tufts University, Wesleyan University, and Williams College.
