Pair of field hockey captains earn NFHCA All-America honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Bates captains Haley Dwight and Brooke Moloney-Kolenberg have earned NFHCA All-America honors, as announced Tuesday morning by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

Dwight (West Newbury, Mass.) is a first team All-American after a season that saw the junior make 10 defensive saves on her way to being named the NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year. She joins Anna Cote '25 as the only NFHCA first team All-Americans in Bates field hockey history. Dwight's 10 defensive saves tied her for ninth in all of NCAA Division III. On top of that, she scored the game-winning goal against Colby and dished out three assists on the season. Dwight boasts 26 defensive saves in her impressive collegiate career to date.

Moloney-Kolenberg (Winchester, Mass.) is a third team All-American after leading the Bobcats in both goals (10) and assists (6) as a senior in a season that saw Bates win the program's first NESCAC championship and advance to the NCAA quarterfinals for a second straight year. With Moloney-Kolenberg as a key contributor from day one, the Bates class of 2026 won a school-record 52 games over the course of four years, made the NCAA tournament three straight seasons, and broke the program record for wins in one season twice, setting a new standard with 16 victories this year. She was also one of 60 players nationally to be named to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team.

Dwight and Moloney-Kolenberg are the seventh and eighth All-Americans in Bates field hockey history. They join the Cote sisters (Paige '23 and Anna '25) as Bobcats who have earned All-America honors under head coach Dani Kogut. Prior to 2022, the program had gone 22 years without an All-American. This is the first season in program history to see two Bates players earn NFHCA All-America honors.
