Field hockey captain Brooke Moloney-Kolenberg named to NFHCA Division III Senior Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Bates field hockey senior captain Brooke Moloney-Kolenberg is one of 60 players nationally to be named to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team, as announced Thursday by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.

The latest honor for Moloney-Kolenberg (Winchester, Mass.) comes on the heels of the forward being named first team All-NESCAC. Moloney-Kolenberg led the Bobcats in points with 26, scoring 10 goals, including three game-winners. She also dished out a team-high six assists.

With Moloney-Kolenberg as a key contributor from day one, the Bates class of 2026 won a school-record 52 games over the course of four years. The Bobcats broke the program record for wins in one season this year with 16, won the program's first NESCAC championship, and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals for the second straight season. The Bobcats increased their win total every year she was on the team, from nine in 2022 to the school-record 16 this season.

This year's campaign built on a remarkable 2024 season, when Moloney-Kolenberg started 20 games and scored nine goals for a team that finished NESCAC-runner-up and won at Babson to qualify for the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time. In 2023, Moloney-Kolenberg saw action in 19 games, scoring four goals for the first Bates team to ever qualify for the NCAA tournament. A sociology major, Moloney-Kolenberg was a NESCAC Fall All-Academic honoree that season as well.

Moloney-Kolenberg finishes her Bates career with 24 goals, including six game-winners, and 10 assists in 75 games played. Her selection to the NFHCA Division III Senior Team follows in the footsteps of sisters Anna and Paige Cote, who each earned the honor in 2024 and 2023, respectively.
