LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates College welcomed #17 Amherst College to the Wallach Tennis Center Saturday where the visiting Mammoths collected an 8-1 NESCAC road victory over the host-Bobcats.
The tandem of
Alexander Gujarathi and
Theo Sardain accounted for the lone point for Bates as the duo defeated Kobe Ellenbogen and Andreas Sillaste, 8-6, in a #1 doubles battle.
Amherst's Spencer Leung and Sujit Chepuri secured an 8-6 win of their own vs.
Matthew Danielson and
Phillippe Kosyagin at #2 doubles, while Edred Opie and Rex Harrison coasted past
Ben Adey and
Nicky Desai, 8-2, at #3.
It was a clean sweep for the Mammoths in singles action, 6-0. Results include:

The Bobcats (3-13, 0-9 NESCAC) look ahead to Sunday when the garnet and white hosts Hamilton at 10:00 a.m. in the season finale for Bates.
