HADLEY, Mass. -- Bates field hockey seniors Anna Cote, Maria Femia, and Amanda Zerbib were named All-NESCAC on Tuesday by the New England Small College Athletic Conference, in recognition of their outstanding performances in another history-making season for the Bobcats.

Cote (New Gloucester, Maine) was named first team All-NESCAC for the second straight season. She leads the Bobcats with 11 goals and five assists on the year. Her six game-winning goals are the most in the NESCAC. Cote tallied the game-winning goal on a penalty stroke in the Bobcats' 2-1 win over six-time defending champion and No. 1 nationally ranked Middlebury in the NESCAC semifinals.

Femia (Canton, Mass.) is a second team All-NESCAC selection after tallying 14 points (six goals, two assists) at the forward position for Bates. She notched a pair of game-winning goals, both in NESCAC play. A Femia goal helped spark a key 2-1 win over Amherst in September.

Zerbib (Larchmont, N.Y.) was also named second team All-NESCAC. The team captain anchored a Bates defense that stopped 18 Middlebury penalty corners in the NESCAC semifinals on their way to the biggest win in program history. Zerbib dished out the first two assists of her career this year, both coming in NESCAC play. 

These are the first All-NESCAC honors of Femia and Zerbib's careers. This marks the second straight year the Bobcats have had three players named All-NESCAC in field hockey.

Bates (12-6) hosts Stevens (15-5) this Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
