LEWISTON, Maine --Â The Bates field hockey team has made the NCAA Division III tournament for the second straight year, as announced Sunday night in a live selection show on ncaa.com.
The No. 14 nationally ranked Bobcats will host Stevens Institute of Technology on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Campus Ave. Field.
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 12 or younger, and free for the first 100 Bates students with a college I.D. The first 50 Bates students will get a free Bates winter hat! Cash or credit cards will be accepted on-site.
The winner of the Bates-Stevens game will travel to Tufts on Saturday for a 2 p.m. second-round tilt against either No. 7 Babson or Keene State.
Bates (12-6) reached the NESCAC championship game for the first time in program history this year after a 2-1 win over six-time defending champion and No. 1 nationally ranked Middlebury Saturday in the NESCAC semifinals. Bates fell to Tufts in a shootout on Sunday to finish runner-up in the conference.Â

Anna Cote (New Gloucester, Maine) on offense, as she's scored 11 goals and dished out five assists this season. Defensively, sophomore
Haley Dwight (West Newbury, Mass.) leads the NESCAC with 14 defensive saves this season.
