LEWISTON, Maine -- #35 Bates College men's tennis secured its third victory vs. a nationally-ranked foe this season as the Bobcats doubled up #18 Wesleyan University, 6-3, Saturday in Merrill Gymnasium.
The win moves the garnet and white to 2-5 in NESCAC play (5-7 overall). The Cardinals, losers of four-straight, drop to 6-7 (2-5 NESCAC) on the year

Leo Kupferman (Sr.-Montclair, N.J.) contributed to all six points for the victors on the day.
In doubles play, Gujarathi and Kania joined forces to best Wesleyan's JT Bilski and Ben Mitchell in the No. 1 slot, 8-6. At No. 2, Danielson and Kupferman held off Harrison Collomb and Chase Kasday for an 8-7 (7-5) victory.
As for singles competition, Kania opened at No. 1 with a thrilling 7-5, 3-6, 10-1 victory vs. Bilski while Gujarathi dismissed Mitchell in straight sets (6-1, 7-6) in the No. 2 slot.  Forester secured a victory at No. 4, defeating Tai MacDonald by scores of 6-4 and 6-2.
Danielson put away Max Lustgarten (6-3, 6-3) at No. 6 for the Bobcats' sixth and final point.
