WATERVILLE, Maine -- In a showdown of two nationally-ranked programs, #20 Colby College hosted #35 Bates College Thursday as the Mules got the better of the Bobcats, 8-1, in NESCAC men's tennis competition.
Colby remains undefeated in conference play at 4-0 (7-3 overall) with the win. Bates drops to 4-7 (1-5Â NESCAC) with the setback.
The Bobcats' lone point came in doubles play as
Matthew Danielson (Jr.-St. Petersburg, Fla.) and
Leo Kupferman (Sr.-Montclair, N.J.) upended the Colby combo of James Bogdanovic and Sam Henry in the No. 2 slot, 8-6.
