LEWISTON, Maine -- Bates men's tennis, on a beautiful 60-degree Maine morning, took to the outdoor courts of Wallach Tennis Center for the first time all spring as the #35 Bobcats coasted to a 9-0 home win over visiting Connecticut College.
The contest kicked off with a perfect 3-0 performance in doubles play for the garnet and white.
Cam Davis-Kania (Sr.-Middlefield, Conn.) and
Alexander Gujarathi (Jr.-Plymouth, Mass.) collected an 8-5 victory (vs. Aaron Fleishman/JulesTaylor-Kerman) at No. 1 while
Matthew Danielson (Jr.-St. Petersburg, Fla.) and
Leo Kupferman (Sr.-Montclair, N.J.) authored an 8-4 finish (vs. Walker Mulligan/James Serhant III) in the No. 2 position.
Nick Forester (Sr.-Falmouth, Maine) and
Teddy Koide (Sr.-Morristown, N.J.) finished tandem competition with an 8-6 win (vs. Andy Feldman/Krishh Tipnis) at No. 3.
The garnet and white proceeded to cruise past the Camels with a clean sweep in singles:

With the win, Bates moves to 6-8 overall (3-6 NESCAC). The Camels, losers of five-straight, drop to 4-9 (0-7 NESCAC) with the setback.
The Bobcats return to the Wallach Center Sunday morning as Bates concludes its regular-season with a 10:00 a.m. home match vs. Trinity College.
