LEWISTON, Maine -- The Bates College men's tennis team swept the singles matches and won two out of three doubles matches for a resounding 8-1 victory over Wesleyan University Saturday at the Wallach Tennis Center.
The Bobcats (1-0) were led by first-year Amrit Rupasinghe and sophomore Ben Stein, who won at No.1 and No. 2 singles, respectively, and teamed up to win at first doubles as well.
Bates will host the multi-team Wallach Invitational Oct. 13-15.
