Nassar recorded a clean sheet Saturday in a 3-0 win for Bates on the road over defending NCAA champion and No. 13 nationally ranked Amherst.

With the Bobcats up 1-0, Nassar made a huge save in the 50th minute to preserve the lead. He finished the afternoon with four saves, giving him 21 on the season and a save percentage of .913. His save percentage ranks second in the NESCAC and is one of the top 15 save percentages in all of NCAA Division III this season. 

With Nassar leading the way at 620 minutes played in goal through seven matches, Bates (5-1-1, 2-1-1 NESCAC) is now tied with Middlebury for first in the NESCAC, and as one of the top 5 schools in the country, in goals against average at 0.286 per game. 

The shutout against Amherst is Bates' first win (and shutout) against the Mammoths since a 2-0 win in 2004 and their first victory on the road at Amherst since a 5-0 win in 1992.
