Williams turned in another historic performance, breaking the Bates record in the 500 meters with his run Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.

Williams (Montclair, N.J.) recorded a time of 1:03.31 in the 500, winning his section and taking fourth place overall out of 29 runners at the meet, behind just a pair of athletes from BYU and an unattached runner. His time breaks the previous school record of 1:04.65, set in 2015 by Patrick Griffin '17. On top of that, Williams now ranks third in the history of NCAA Division III in the event.

In addition to his performance in the 500, Williams helped the Bates 4x400 relay team achieve a time of 3:18.78, good for third on the Bates all-time performance list.
