Senior Phoebe Pohl won the individual title, the Bobcats swept the top three places, and the Bates women's cross country team rolled to an eighth consecutive Maine State Meet title Saturday at Roy's Disc Golf.
Pohl (Wayland, Mass.) broke away from the pack, crossing the finish line of the 6K race in 22:48.4.
With the lowest score winning, the Bobcats finished with 18 points, well-ahead of runner-up Bowdoin's tally of 46 points. The University of Maine finished third with 99 points.
The women's cross country team is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 5 when they host the Bates Invitational at Pineland Farms.
