Playing at the No. 3 position, senior captain and four-time second team All-NESCAC selection Vicky Arjoon swept all three of her opponents over the weekend at team nationals, helping the Bates women's squash team capture its third Walker Cup title in the last four years.
In the quarterfinals, Arjoon turned in the most dominating performance of the day, sweeping aside Hamilton's Caitlin Stern 3-0 (11-2, 11-2, 11-2) to help Bates blank the Continentals 9-0.
The Bobcats repeated the feat against Dickinson in the semifinals, winning 9-0 with Arjoon sweeping Domenica Romo 3-0 (11-3, 11-4, 11-7).
In the Walker Cup final, the Bobcats defeated Tufts 6-3, with Arjoon winning 3-0 (11-2, 12-10, 11-2) over the Jumbos' Megan Chen.
Arjoon is planning to compete at individual nationals starting this Thursday at Brown University. She sports a personal record of 14-7 this season.
